I wouldn’t be surprised at all if TiVo announced something new at the upcoming CES, but this rumor just seems lame. A TiVo with an multicard (m-card) cable card slot? My TiVo HD is already utilizing a mcard, though it does have two slots that could each use a single card instead. Maybe this new unit requires an mcard. But if that and a few dropped ports (phone jack and S-video input) are the extent of the “upgrades,” I’ll be highly disapointed and underwhelmed.
