So, my wife, myself and mother-in-law just watched the first part of the Oprah interview with retired cyclist Lance Armstrong. After reading affadavits and ohter documents for the past few months, and really years, I can’t say that it really did anything for me, affecting my opinion one way or the other.

That had already been done long ago. It basically comes down to another ego-maniacal athlete who was willing to do whatever it took to win. It also took a special breed to lie, cheat and sue people when he knew was in the wrong.

I don’t have any long analysis from tonight’s hour and half sit down with Armstrong. I don’t really see a lot of people forgiving him for all the lying and cheating, nor do I think he deserves it — bullying and cursing people who stood in his way.

Professional cycling of that era has become a joke, with him as the loudest court jester.
