This seems like a pretty big breakthrough in display technology in certain circumstances and applications. Once/if production numbers are up, it could lead to a lot of displays that are customized for the space they’re fitting in, like the dashboard mockup in the article.
I’m more interested in display applications like vehicles than something on your wrist or other wearables. But regardless, I’m really interested to see if these ultra-thin bezels with free form displays go anywhere.
