So this time tomorrow night, I’ll nave my first criterium of the season under my belt. I’m excited. I’m nervous. I’m hoping that all my workouts on the trainer in the game room at our house, and spinning bike at the gym in the offseason have been enough to prep me for a half hour plus five. I hope my bike works flawless, and that my body holds up. I’ve taken it easy today, hydrating – probably over hydrating. My legs should be fresh come 5pm tomorrow for the Cat 5 race.
I’m thankful to start the season locally in Raleigh and to have a Cat 5 race not be at the butt crack of morning. The temp should be right under 60 at the start of the race and both the rain and sunset should follow the race closely. Here’s to my success tomorrow. Wish me luck.
