More rain today – and all the NC reservoirs rejoice!
Archive for December, 2007Nice list of digital photographers’ pitfalls. Most are freaking obvious, but nothing wrong with a couple of reminders/reinforcers: This is a nice move and will end up making American homes and businesses more efficient. But, at the same time, it’s a pussy move on Bush’s part. This should have already been done and the same energy efficiency goals should be on the auto industry as well.

Mashing Up My GPS Files with Google MapsPosted by: Keefer in Cycling, Internet / Web, TechCheck this out. A fellow cyclist on the North Raleigh Gyros sent me the link to a web-based service that takes GPS data in a variety of file formats and puts them onto Google Maps… much nicer than the crude maps included in Garmin’s Training Center on OS X. The map below is my standard quick ride loop near the house: So this is my first day back to work after a relaxing Christmas vacation. And why did I come back today? I am bored out of my mind. No work. No phones ringing. No others in marketing. Barely anyone in the studio working. No more sites to surf. No more emails to reply to. No more calendar items to update. No more spam to delete. I think I am going to call it an early day today. The only good thing about today is getting out early will mean the gym will be slow. Is anyone else bored this week at work? Tomorrow will probably be more of the same. Oh joy!

Giants-Pats Available Nationwide – NFL Network to Simulcast Game on NBC and CBSPosted by: Keefer in Sports StuffIt probably won’t even be a good game, but with the Pats possibly going undefeated, it’s really the principle of the majority of U.S. households having the option of turning off the game early in the second half. While I don’t know how this will impact our severe drought, it’s gotta be a good thing. The question is how much of a dent can it make? Merry Christmas everyone, from both of us here. We hope you had as great of a holiday as Amanda and I did. Love, Spent the day doing pretty much nothing… watched a movie, watch the Tar Heels kill UCSB, played a bunch of Call of Duty on Xbox 360, and about to get a Pay Per View movie. I never even made it out of the pajamas today. Oh well. It was relaxing! Just wanted to wish everyone a merry Christmas and a happy new year if I don’t post about it in the coming days. I’ve got four days off and very grateful for the time to basically veg out and hang out around the house, play some Xbox 360 and pretty much not do much of anything. I’m hoping the time does Amanda good too and she gets rid of her nasty-ass cough! |
