So the game just came out today (some stores released it at midnight). There’a already a bunch of songs available for download. I think they’re slightly cheaper than the DLC for Guitar Hero II / III, but man, if you buy all the new songs, it’s easy to rack up money quickly.

I see multiple tracks in there though that I’ll get once I’ve got the game, starting with the Metallica pack. How about a Van Halen 1984 pack with “Hot for Teacher,” “Panama,” and “Jump?”

Rock Band DLC is Live

I’m not a big fan of Neil Young’s music, but this is a pretty cool endeavor. He’s taking an old American gas guzzling behemoth and converting it to a hybrid electric/biodiesel vehicle. I hope he releases the movie. I’ll check it out.

Anyway, the whole article begs the all too common question of if a little guy with no high school education can do this, why can’t the auto industry match or surpass the results and reduce our dependancy on petroleum. While there may be more complicated answers, I’m thinking it’s because they don’t want to, and lobbyists keep the regulations from passing that would force the auto industry’s hands.

Most everyone I know works in offices, sitting their entire work day. Then, they jump in their cars, sit in the driver’s seat to commute, and then site around for the remainder of the night. We’re all going to die!

Seriously though, the article makes a lot of sense. It’s a good goal. Walk when you can. Use the stairs when you can. Walk to the bank etc. It’s hard to get the amount of time sitting down, but there are easy ways to at least drop some sitting time down.
