So I made it into the gym early enough this morning to do my first spinning class. It was a tough 45 minutes, with lots of intervals, climbing, resistance and raised heart rates. I’ll have to check my average heart rate, but looking down at the display, I saw it in the 180s multiple times!! I really loved it though and it brought me back to the days of kickboxing, just a little, especially with the abs workout included afterwards, which really kicked my butt!

Spinning a couple weeks is a going to be a great way for me to keep in cycling shape over the cold and short days. If I stick with it, should help me in the 2008 racing season. A lot of my Tricyclists teammates are doing the whole cyclocross thing in the off season, but I’m using it to get in better shape, and work on my weight to power ratio. Hmm, wonder if I could be down to a buck 75 by my first race?
