I’ll be following this closely, as the timing is right in line with when we’re switching back to cable from DirecTV, due to DirecTV turning their back on TiVo. The hope though is around the same time, there will be a price drop on the Series 3 too.

So Amanda, Bret, Jeff and I checked out the downtown twilight crit. It was really cool to see racers of this caliber flying through the downtown circuit. Plus, it was the first time I had seen a night race. Very cool!

Congrats to the newest American Idol, Jordin Sparks. That’s who we were pulling for. Man, do they drag out the results show, and even more so with the finale. It was cool Kelly Clarkson did two numbers. I seriously could have done without Smokey Robinson and especially Bette Midler. Man, did she suck it up! I could have done without the Blake Lewis / Doug E. Fresh bit too… seemed really out of place on Idol.

So thid is my first entry, written from a mobile PDA, instead of a PC. This past week, Amanda and I both upgraded our phones and are having a blast. Both of our phones have kinks to work out, but they’re pretty damn cool so far.

I think she has legit reasons to be insulted and did the right thing standing up for doing her own material. I’d be offended too if someone offered me songs other crappier artists didn’t want.
