So Amanda and I volunteered for Triangle Rails to Trails Conservancy for the first time this morning. It was hard work. I sweated like crazy. The majority of the three hours was taken up getting rid of a huge pile of shingles that some unethical roofers/contractors had dumped on a yet-to-be developed part of the trail near the Southpoint area.

It was crazy though. We moved so much crap! I thought for sure that tonight, I would have been sore as hell — my back and shoulders and all. But honestly, I’m not feeling anything. Maybe in the morning.

But regardless, I was a shovelin’ fool out there! Amanda and I definitely did more than our share. It felt good though to help out on the trails I ride.
