So when I had my annual review last May, I was told that I needed to learn Flash, as it was industry standard for my job… if they say so.

Anyway, I’ve ended up taking classes from Sessions.edu. I’m in the process of getting a Multimedia Design certificate. Currently, I’m taking a class in Advanced Photoshop and absolutely loving it!

The first project was to make a retro silhouette ad that was along the lines of Apple’s iPod ads. That one was tough, as I hate the pen tool of Photoshop and Illustrator, but with some help from JZ, I have it down fairly well now. I’m pretty happy with how my project turned out. Now, I’m working on one of those sci-fi looking euro collages. Again, I’m loving this one! This collage I’m creating as a tie in to the Heels winning it all this year.
When I finish these, I’ll probably put them in my portfolio on Keefer Designs. I’m pretty proud of the stuff and will be able to use the stuff I’m learning over and over again for both personal and professional projects.
