So my parents came into town Friday to hang out for a couple days. We got to show them a lot of the area including the UNC campus and Duke’s East Campus (well…West campus by accident :-) ). We were able to plan lunch with Ryan’s parents so they were able to meet my parents and get a chance to talk and get to know each other.

We played a couple rounds of Karaoke Revolution 2. Man, that game is so addicting. I was the winner last night by rocking 3 strong songs. Hmm, they were: The First Cut is the Deepest (Sheryl Crow), White Flag (Dido) and Genie in a Bottle (Christina Aguilera).

We had a wonderful time and I already miss them and can’t wait to go see them over the summer.

So my sister Ashley was one of the top ten donation collectors for this year’s Dance Marathon at UNC. She got to get her picture taken with head basketball coach Roy Williams. I’m so jealous. I’ll post the pic up when I get a copy from her. It’s all good though. I got Roy Williams’ autograph at a UNC baseball game early last season.

Oh and congrats to the Heels for beating Maryland tonight. GO HEELS!

So Amanda’s parents came up for a visit this weekend. We ended up just going over to A Southern Season, went out to dinner and then came back here and played Karaoke Revolution. It was pretty fun and funny. hehe It’s good to see them again and I know Amanda’s happy to see them too!

Man, I’ve said this before. It would be really could to see a meshing of my two favorite companies:

Woo hoo! I think I’ve finally got the POPFile up and running on my Mac here at home. I tried installing it quite awhile back (cause I’ve run it successfully both on Windows XP and on my Mac at work). My last attempt failed miserably, but I think thanks to this OS X POPFile Install Guide, I am up and running with it again.

I highly recommend it as your primary spam filtering tool. It’s free and super accurate. At work, I’ve been running it for like two years and it’s 99% accurate. I’m psyched I got it up and running and was also able to check something off my aged to-do list. Bed time!

Well I’ll be damned. We watched SNL on TiVo tonight from Saturday and Kelly’s dyed her hair blonde. As it turns out from surfing around tonight, she’s actually naturally blonde. This should come as no shock. I prefer her with darker hair. But I’ll deal. :-P

As the rumor sites predicted, the iPod lineup got slightly shuffled today. The mini is finally at the price point I’ve always thought it should be at:

Man, I’m thankful for the mild winter. I’ve been able to start running again outside and it feels so good. I don’t get as bored as I do in the gym on an elipitcal or treadmill. Because of that, I can go a lot longer. Tonight, I ran just under 45 minutes and it felt great. I can tell it’s starting to stay lighter a few minutes longer these days too. I can’t wait for spring to arrive, that’s for sure!
