I’ve had a digital camera now for like 4 years and love the flexibility they offer. You can shoot a bunch of pictures, and immediately review and remove any that are crap. You also have no developing costs or time delays. The last one I had, the Sony Cybershot S50 (I think it’s S50) is a great little guy and can output photos up to 1600×1200 resolution (2.1 Megapixels). Amanda even took a CD-R of images today to Walgreen’s to get some photos printed out for us, my parents and grandmother. She said they looked great! I can’t wait to see ‘em when I get home from work tonight.

Well regardless, I think I’m about to upgrade and do a little more than double my megapixels and halve the size of the camera itself. At first, I thought I was going to get another Sony but Amanda and I both saw a lot of reviews of it being overpriced, proprietary and just not up to snuff. A lot of them said that to get their ultra-compact one, a lot was sacrificed for the size drop.

So it looks like I’m on to a Canon. I found one that is right up the alley of price and the reviews all have very little bad to say about ‘em:

Here’s one example:

Canon S500 Review

I’ll have to get some photos up on the site after we get it. I got a $100 gift card from work to help knock out part of the price. Sweet!
