So JZ got me this cool board game/DVD game called, Scene It?. You play it in front of a TV and DVD player and it makes for a cool multimedia movie trivia game. It rocks! We played it last week with my parents and sister and then again tonight for awhile. It’s a damn lot of fun. We highly recommend it!
Archive for December, 2004It’s sad to see EVH parting ways with Peavey (or the other way around). It’s weird that they did it now while VH is actually out touring, rather than during their long hiatus from recording and touring from ‘96 - ‘04. Regardless, I love my Peavey Wolfgang, and I’m sure Edward will find a new company. So Amanda and I both got a couple of duplicate gifts from people. I didn’t think it would be a big deal to go in and get store credit wherever the items were sold. I had a DVD set that I got duplicates of, and had a PS2 game that I wanted to exchange for the same title, except for the XBox version. Anyway, first we went to Circuit City and the customer service people were really bitchy and insisted we didn’t get them there, to which we replied that they were gifts (as was already explained) and we didn’t want to ask them where they got them. Then we went to Target and they would only allow a credit to be used there and then from the same department. Amanda had a CD to return but they would only give $9.99 for it. We didn’t really feel like getting anything then and there. So then we went on to Barnes & Noble where Amanda returned a book on tape she received (she also got the same book on CD, so she kept the CD version). They were cool about giving store credit, so she returned her CD and book on tape. I also was able to get store credit for my DVD set. We’re pretty sure B&N is where the gifts were bought. Then, I went over to EB Games and they were totally cool with me swapping my unopened NFS Underground 2 for a Xbox copy of the game.. gotta take full advantage of the XBox Live, ya know? So it ended up taking longer and frusterated us both more than it should have. I thought stores were more lax directly after the holidays to return stuff. Regardless, it’s all taken care of now. I’ve gotta be careful not to lose my wallet.. there are a lot of gift cards floatin’ around in there. David IM’ed me this: Well, I think I am finally feeling better. As Ryan mentioned in a earlier post, I think I got the flu bug Saturday night after we got back from celebrating Christmas at his parent’s house. Tonight I am finally making some headway. I have tons more strength, though I am not completely back I feel 100 times better than Saturday. My eyes and head aren’t achy and I am not having any other flu symptoms. Ryan was so incredible great. He had today off and he tended to me all day. He was really a great help and such a hot nurse So we had a wonderful Christmas here… got to spend my first Christmas with Amanda and spent a good amount of time with my family. We all got a lot of nice gifts. Amanda even totally surprised me with an X-Box. Sweet! The only problem is Amanda got sick late last night and spent today in bed trying to get better. She’s got what I think is the flu and doesn’t seem to have a fever at this point. I’m hoping tonight she’ll sleep better and will end up feeling better in the morning. Merry Christmas to all — wishing you all a safe and happy holiday! Looks like Griffin Technology is finally shipping their RadioShark. We’ve got them in at the Apple Store. I was so tempted to snag one. I think I’m going to get one of these TiVo for radio devices in time to listen to the bowl game on Thursday at work. |
