So tonight a friend ropped me into going to the Hurricane Relief Concert at the House of Blues where the Backstreet Boys, Boyz II Men and Brooke Hogan performed.
I have to say, Boyz II Men were absolutely insane! They haven’t lost any of that R&B flavor from back when they were huge. It really took me back to Middle School and High School days. I would most definitely see these guys in concert again. They played a lot of the old school stuff tonight, some of which included:
Motown Philly
End of the Road
It’s So Hard To Say Goodbye To Yesterday
I’ll Make Love To You
On Bended Knee
The main performance for the night was the Backstreet Boys. Now, I am not a huge fan of them but they were great entertainers. I had a blast and really enjoyed their show. I knew a ton of the songs as well. Obviously, I paid the most attention to Nick. The kid is completely crazy and so energizing to watch.
Umm, Brooke Hogan was HORRIBLE! I have nothing good to say about her at all. She had a terrible stage presence, she looked like an amazon… she was dressed in “paleather”, she was lipsyncing and she didn’t interact with the crowd at all. The only exciting thing about Brooke’s performance was her Father, Hulk Hogan, who gave her introduction. He was hilarious! He really pumped the crowd up.
All in all, I had a great time tonight and was really glad to go. After all, this concert was for charity. All proceeds are going to the RedCross to aid those victims of the hurricanes, which devastated this area.
Anyhow, time for bed…
