Today will make 8 solid days without television (and no sign of restoring it right now) at the house, which means I haven’t seen one event, one commentary, one medal presentation…

Friday night, we were able to watch part of the opening ceremonies until Charley decided to come ashore (and knock out all power to Central Florida and beyond) and that is the extent of my watching. We watched a few minutes Sunday night while out to dinner but I feel really disconnected to this years games. I was really looking forward to the swimming competitions but it looks like I only get to read about them now.

Adios Olympics, see you in another 4 years!
