As expected, the iMac G5 was announced today. I can’t say I like the design too much. I mean, it is compact, but it looks like a eMac on a stand. I dunno. It’s not horrible, but I liked the iMac G4 much better.
Archive for August, 2004My setups need this severely! I’m going to invest in at least two sets of the black tubing to clean up (and offer more cool air to flow) for my home theater and computer setups. Check out the before and after pics. This morning I was watching a portion of the interview President Bush gave to Today Show’s Matt Lauer and it was really frustrating to watch. What is really frustrating is Bush’s comments about terrorism. In the past he has said time and time again that, “we will win in the war against Terrorism” and then in this interview he clearly says, The rumor sites are strangely quiet regarding the upcoming iMac G5. Rumor and speculation is that it will be unveiled tomorrow at the France show. Macrumors.com had a bit about a patent being filed last week and their forums have some artist renderings. Hope that isn’t the real thing cause it’s ugly IMHO: I haven’t been paying too much attention to the news lately, but it looks like Hurricane Frances is taking aim at Florida. Unfortunately central florida is still trying to recover from Charley’s visit, so more atmospheric disruption could be catastrophic for this area. Especially since Frances is gaining power and is already a Cat 4. Below is the link to the projected path. This seems like an awesome deal… so freaking tempting! It’s a refurb at over double the resolution of my current digital camera. Sony has a current 5.1 MP camera for $500. It’s smaller, but this think is no beast. So I got an email yesterday from one of my very best friends from College. She has been over in Sheffield England now for a year studying and getting her Master’s Degree. She is in the process of writing her dissertation right now and will be back State-side in late September. Funny thing is, she may be moving with her boyfriend down to Florida right when I am moving up here to North Carolina. It’ll be really wonderful to see her again. Hmmm, let’s see what else… We just got back from the free concert in downtown Raleigh at the 96 Rock hosted Everclear Concert. It was a great time but we didn’t stay late. Unfortunately we missed Everclear but it was nice, nonetheless. I am looking forward to hanging out tonight since I have to leave tomorrow. Until later… Jeff just sent me the link to this program, Audio Hijack. People on TiVoCommunity were saying good things about it and the Pro version… gotta check it out soon. |
