Man I hope this gets overturned. It was supposed to go in effect next Wednesday. Unsolicited calls be gone!

Court Stops National Do-Not-Call List

Well, once again I got to see Edwin McCain live. I think this was the third time I have seen him in Chapel Hill at the Cat’s Cradle. He put on a fine show, and his opening act rocked too (Will Hoge). I may have to look into snagging his two CDs too. I just looked at Amazon. Make that 4 CDs. :) I snagged one of the discs from Amazon and hope it’s half as good as his band was live.

Anyway, as always, Edwin and company really rocked and were spot on. They stuck mainly to stuff from the newest CDs, playing only “Solitude” and “Guenivere” (don’t think I had seen him perform this live prior) from Honor Among Thieves, “Darwin’s Children,” “I’ll Be” and “Through the Floor” (the hidden track af “Holy City”) from Misguided Roses.

He also made several comments about the industry, saying they overcharge for albums, and that he understands people downloading music. He said if Michelins could be gotten on the Internet for free. He paraphrased Chris Rock, “I’m not saying to do it, but I understand.” He also said he would rather personally sell ya a CD at the door, but he understood.

Edwin also reitterated what I’ve heard in the past that the real support you can give for an artist is to see them live. I guess my roommate and I have been helping support him for years now. :)
