Well I said I was going to keep posting daily about the Cubs’ wins as long as they kept their streak alive and they won by a run tonight. Way to go Cubs. They’ve really hit the perfect time to have a nice win streak!

Chicago has now won 6 straight, but Houston is only 1/2 a game behind, and St. Louis is 2 behind. It’s looking good for the Cubs to have some post-season action!

Cubs 4, Expos 3

So I started playing guitar again a fair amount, but found my best guitar is under the weather.

The problem I’m having is with the high E string. When it’s played open,
it sounds deadened, like it is making contat somewhere. It sounds perfectly
fine when I play at a fret anywhere (1st fret incuded), so I am thinking the
problem lies with the mechanism on the headstock that locks the strings
down between the machine heads and the guitar’s neck/fretboard. I cannot
see anything obvious, and taking the piece off withand allen wrench, I
still had the same deadened sound when played open.

I’m hoping the gutar is still under warranty and I can get it taken care of locally.

Til then, I’m playing my Chet Atkins electric acoustic. I have my Fender Strat too, but it’s in drop D tuning, and I’m a bit lazy to retune it back to standard tuning.
