Here’s a cool little article regarding Sony’s new enhanced PS2, the PSX, and there’s a little bit about the new 16:9 handheld, the PSP.

There’s also some speculation in the article about the PSX being a testing ground with where to go with the Playstation 3. Makes sense to me.

A Glimpse of Sony’s Future

Man, look at the success of Terminator 2 over its original. That’s freakin’ amazing! Neither the Matrix nor X-Men films are on there. One I would expect to be on this list after its release: Spider-Man 2.

Most Successful Sequels

Man, I really was hoping June 1st or June 2nd (being that it was the first business day of the month) would be the magic day that DirecTV announced more HDTV content.

But alas, the DirecTV HDTV page still has not been updated and still talks about NBA TV content, which ceased on May 31st. Oh well. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that at some point I’ll be seeing more HD content this month. I really want to see my Cubbies in HD. But at least I know this fall, I’ll be seeing some 49ers games in high definition.

In the meantime, I’ve been downloading and enjoying the HD demos Microsoft has provided. I’ve only seen the pinball one so far, but that was very cool. The only downside is that forced me to download Windows Media Player 9.
