Here’s another bit of info I read in the newest Wired. There’s a little one page article about technology in the Star Trek shows and movies and their feasability in the real world.

Well UNC-CH got a little mention when talking about the high tech virtual reality Holodeck’s possible existance in the real world:

A virtual playground in which imagination guides reality is still hypothetical. But University of North Carolina scientists are working on one. They’ve lined a room with a grid of infrared-emitting diodes that can alter your view up to 1,500 times a second. Don a digital bodysuit plastered with sensors and have at it.

I’ve been meanign to post this one for awhile. There was an article in Wired a few months ago about a really cool stadium setup where teh field can literally move in and out of the arena, making the natural grass usable both outdoors and indoors.

In the August 2002 issues of Stuff, there was a little useless informationon David Lee Roth. And of course, anything Van Halen related, I gotta share:

After Van Halen concerts, David Lee Roth reportedly used to have the band’s road manager pour Perrier on his feet.

Strange… very strange.
