Archive for July 18th, 2002The only thing high-definition television will do is provide sharper pictures of the garbage. Argg, I’m a bit upset with Apple’s new found charge for upgrades! I’m got OS X 10.1.5 on my iMac… If I want to move it up to 10.2, I gotta pay $120! 10.2 has a lot of features, but that’s a lot of dough to drop for less than a tenth of a version number. So get an email this morning from Apple with all the Keynote highlights.. Turns out they’re coming out with an iMac with a 17″ widescreen display. **sigh** So in the sidebar of the email, there’s a bit about upgrading iDVD to 2.1. I currently have 2.0. to move up .1, it’s gonna cost me $20. I always though version number jumps were obviously acceptable to have to pay for, but come on, jumping a tenth and charging? Is this Apple or MS? Well it looks like AdCritic is back, albeit with a $70 annual membership fee. The new design is nice. |
