Here’s a realyl good OpEd piece from the NY Times:

Can we say too much time on their hands? hehe but still kinda funny — Google’s mirror image.

So while Monica and I were in NY City Saturday, we walked past the Sony buildings and there was a bit of a crowd there protesting. We had no idea why — but we knew it was anti-Sony and pro Michael Jackson. I immediately knew I didn’t support what was going down, but wasn’t sure what exactly was going down.

So it turns out Jackson has pulled the race card cause his album sales sucked. Jackson said that the record companies exploit minority recording artists. Well of course they do! The record companies exploit every recording artist they’ve signed.

I’ve only heard the one song, but I don’t think the newest Jackson album flopped cause of lack of promotion (which had $25 million in promotion BTW). It was because of the material on the album being crap. Plus, Jackson’s personal life over the past few years have turned a lot of people off to him anyway, even if he were able to produce another Thriller-caliber album, which isn’t gonna happen.

Jackson’s washed up. That’s all there is to it.

It turns out that one of Monica’s neighbors.. well down the street a bit is Anthony Edwards, of ER and Top Gun fame. His land is surrounded by a big high fence, so there wasn’t anything worth snapping a picture of. I was just looking at his profile on imdb, and he really hasn’t done a whole lot of anything since he left ER.

Here’s his main profile at imdb: http://us.imdb.com/Name?Edwards,+Anthony

I like eBay. I like PayPal. But I like them separate. Oh well.. I just hope eBay’s assimilation of PayPal doesn’t screw up people’s non-auction transactions.
