Argg! I hate it when people put their phone on speakerphone when checking their office voice mail. I don’t want to hear the contents of your voice mailbox. Use that little piece you pick up from the phone that’s attached with a cord!

Isn’t this the way it always ends up? A lot of wild and crazy stories — science fiction-type stuff end up developing into real technology and possibilities down the road? Now I’m not saying EVERYTHING is like that, but often things that seem way out there in present day end up being feasable just a few years down the road.

I haven’t posted any KeefLog entries in a few days and jsut felt I needed a post or two today so the main KeefLog page didn’t end up blank. I had a good weekend, did a lot with Monica and got some much needed house cleaning done… still have mroe tidying up and some spring cleaning to do (lots of stuff to sift through and decide whether to trash or not).

I had a little scare with TiVo last week, and it seems to be localized to Durham Time Warner customers using TiVo. I know of two others with the same setup that had the same thing happen. Basically.. got a message on the TiVo saying the selected channel lineup was no longer valid… deleted all the channels and all the associated season passes. Well with a little data entry Thursday and Friday, everything is back up and running.

But, TiVo’s been fairly empty as of late. We’re hitting the re-runs season, and probably 80% of what we request TiVo to record is first run. So with that in mind, John and I are trying out Netflix It seems like a really cool deal, as long as we get at least 4 DVD rentals a month. It’s worth the $10 to me, as long as I personally watch two movies a month. It’s cheaper and makes more sense than Blockbuster IMHO.

Hmm, I wonder if Time Warner Cable will be picking this one up. Honestly, TechTV’s Extended Play gives me all the info I need to know. Regardless, I’d still like the chance to check this one out:
