A teacher asked one of her pupils, “Can you name our nation’s capital?”

The reply was, “Washington DC.”

When asked what “DC” stood for, the pupil added, “Dot com!”

We just moved up to digital cable.. more channels we’ll never watch, though there are a few gems in there, like TechTV plus better resolution of the networks… We got it though so we could get on the HDTV wait list.

For the most part, it’ll go unused, but I can’t wait to watch some NCAA basketball & football, and a little NFL.

Originally, I thought the HDTV part of our TV was going to go unused for years, til the set-top receivers came down in price, but looks like Time Warner came to the rescue for once. Our regular digital receiver will be replaced with a HDTV one in just a few weeks. Can’t wait to see if it makes a big difference.
